With the COVID-19 outbreak, the whole world has been affected. And if you are a gym goer like me you have been affected. In these times, gone are the days of hitting the gym, picking up a pair of dumbbells and doing a set without knowing who has touched it before.

The good news are that other options abound, even if you do not have all the necessary equipment. Working out at home is in, at least for now. All you need to do is get going. If you have ever said

1. I want to work out but don’t have the time

2 .I want to lose some body fat / weight but I just haven’t done it yet

3. I have been thinking about going to the gym.

4. I should work out more.

  Well guys, now is the time. The excuse of "I have no time" is over as we all have time now with this lockdown.

The secret to getting into shape is to just get started. Focus your energy on your new goals - whether it is to go for a walk, start riding your bicycle or actually doing some strength training with dumbbells at home. Think of just building a new body the way you want it to look. Believe in yourself and I know you can make it happen. I have seen many do it in the past, and there will be many more in the future. 

Focus on the positive.  You will feel better, you will feel energized, and you will feel more motivated once you start. Also remember you don’t have to do it alone. Couples that work out together stay together. Or ask a friend who is in the same situation wanting to get in better shape, where you can make each other accountable for success.

If you can just do a few positive things each day, physically and mentally, great things can happen to your mind and body. Making better food choices, doing some strength training and engaging in some cardio will generate great benefits.
